Traumatic lumbar hernia due to zanjeer (knives)

Lumbar hernias are a very rare entity. Many of the traumatic hernias in the lumbar region are related to seat belt injuries in motor car accidents. Here we describe the case of a rare traumatic lumbar hernia caused by the use of Zanjeer (Knives) during Ashura Matam. To our knowledge a traumatic Zanjeer Lumbar Hernia has not been reported so far.
