Speleotherapy is a therapeutic measure for various diseases in which the subterranean environment is used as a mode of treatment. Although not known to be practiced in USA or in UK, it has considerable widespread use in some Central and East European countries and is considered to be an old and popular alternative therapy in these regions. It is a process that involves the use of health enhancing effects of salt mines or caves to cure a variety of diseases including asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary diseases, various skin lesions, arthritis etc. This is an Editorial.
