Immunological classification of childhood Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia

In this paper, results of immunophenotyping carried out on 50 cases of acute lymphoblastic leukaemia are presented. C-ALL was the commonest (58.8%), followed by T-ALL (23.6%). AUL and Null-ALL constituted 7.8% each. B-ALL was observed in only 2.0% of patients. The exact immunological subtypes thus identified help in planning therapy and judging the response to treatment.
