Cutaneous Leishmaniasis in Pakistan; how to go about it

Pakistan has a burdon of cutaneous and visceral Leishmaniasis, mucocutaneous form being almost nonexistant. The physicians need to know the diagnostic criteria as well as the treatment of the disease. Due to scarcity of dermatologists in the rural areas most of these cases present to the general practitioners and physicians. This is further complicated by the inadequate supply of appropriate drugs. This is a review article.
