Trauma: the most common cause of Epistaxis in children and young adults

This study comprises of fifty-five cases of epistaxis in young patients. The purpose of the study was to determine the aetiological factors of epistaxis in young patients. Trauma was found to he the most common cause of epistaxis in these patients i.e., 27 cases out of 55 (49.07%). In the majority of cases, bleeding was controlled by conventional anterior nasal packing.
