Distal Hypospadias Magpi repair

This prospective study was carried out over a period of fortyeight months i.e. from January 1996 to December 1999. Thirty cases of distal hypospadias with age range of two years to 12 years were treated in the Department of Surgery, Jinnah Hospital Lahore. Out of these 32 cases, 7 were glandular, 19 coronal, and six were distal suborbital. Proximal subcoronal types were not included in this study. All the 32 cases were submitted for meatal advancement and glanduloplasty (MAGPI REPAIR). No urinary diversion was done in any case. A urethrocutaneus fistula was seen in one (3.1) case and meatal retraction was seen in one case 3%. In 93.8% of cases, good results were obtained both functionally and cosmetically.
