Occupational Asthma is a disease of changing proportion in developing countries. It generally occurs in people during their productive years (18-60 years) and can lead to significant morbidity and loss of productivity. Physician awareness of OA is generally inadequate. In addition diagnosis can be challenging and painstaking. With appropriate knowledge of this relatively unknown entity, disease burden can be minimized allowing patients to continue leading productive lives. This is a review article.
