Pak Postgrad Med J Sep 2001;12(3):102-3.

Chemical acidification of wounds has been shown to increase the healing rate. An improved healing rate has been reported by different surgeons. Bacteria survive under different pH. If the pH is changed, bacteria would stop growing. Pseudomonas aeruginosa infection of bone and soft tissue is not uncommon.
