Foreign bodies (instruments) in abdomen

These are two case reports where the operating surgeon has forgotten an artery forcep in the abdomen. This is liable to occur during prolonged surgery, when the surgeon takes a break during operation or while hurriedly closing the abdomen during an emergency. The author knows about the first case where an interval was taken but the facts about the second patient are unknown.
