Pickwickian syndrome cause of daytime somnolence apnoeic pauses and night arousal

This is a case report of a 35 years old male, with typical history of sleep apnea syndrome and morbid obesity. Diagnosis of Pickwickian syndrome was made on the basis of history, clinical examination and pulse oximetery. Patient was treated aggressively with full ventilatory support and respiratory care.
