Carotid Body Tumor

A 40 year old female presented with 4 years history of gradually enlarging mass in the neck on the right side associated with casional dizzy episodes. Examination revealed a 5 cm swelling in upper cervical and submandibular region with a bruit. A right carotid angiogram revealed a marked tumor blush above the bifurcation of common carotid artery. Findings were consistent with carotid body tumor.
