To address problems related to drug use, comprehensive coordination efforts are required on urgent basis not only by government but also by NGOs (Reputable), private sector and CBOS. Multi-sectoral efforts are required by the health department, Anti Narcotic Force, Excise Department, Social Welfare Departments and Police Department for providing treatment and rehabilitation services, harm reduction services and control on drug selling. Advocacy with authorities, mobilizing the public opinion and strict implementation of drug laws can play a vital role curbing this menace. Above this is the role of information department and media, through which their campaign can effectively handle, reduce and control the situation of drug use.
