Galactorrhea: Do you really need to get an MRI?

Galactorrhea is often encountered by Family physicians in their routine practice. Determining when and how to evaluate these patients can be a challenge. It may be the only symptom of a serious central nervous system lesion. Lack of knowledge regarding this symptom can lead to unnecessary investigations starting from multiple hormone levels to magnetic resonance imaging and may also lead to substantial distress to the patient
