AMENDMENT IN RULES FOR SUBMISSION OF PAPER/S IN LIEU OF
DISSERTATION.
Rules for submission of paper/s in lieu of dissertation vide CPSP Notification No.
Secy/Notif-1/CPSP/03/2027-A, dated July 15th, 2003 for the candidates of Fellowship or
for second fellowship FCP-II are hereby amended as follows.
Now the College of Physicians and Surgeons Pakistan has not only allowed acceptance of
publication of articles in the previously mentioned indexed Journals (Index Medicus of
NLM) but also FIVE other PMDC indexed journals.
The Indexed Journals (Index Medicus of NLM) in Pakistan are:
1. Journal of the College of Physicians and Surgeons Pakistan.
2. Journal Pakistan Medical Association
3. Journal of Ayub Medical College.
4. Pakistan Journal of Pharmaceutical Sciences.
Five more PMDC indexed Journal added to the list are:
1. Pakistan Armed Forces Medical Journal.
2. Infectious Diseases Journal.
3. Pakistan Journal of Medical Research.
4. Journal of Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences.
5. Pakistan Journal of Medical Sciences.
All other rules relating to the publication/acceptance of articles in lieu of dissertation as
detailed in CPSP Notification No. Secy/Notif-1/CPSP/03/2027-A, dated July 15th , 2003,
remain un-amended.

It seems that you know nothing about medical research.

A published paper in a recognized indexed Medical Journal is enough in mileu of disseratation. All your questions are related to the type of study you are doing. Even a single day done and later published study is enough. Sample size calculation is necessary for all studies. It is not done only for CPSP. You would a synopsis before writing.

I advice you to learn basics of medical research and its importance instead of doing just for CPSP.

Your Published articles will always make your CV strong.

original research papers in mileu of dissertation

AOA,
Anybody please tell me about the original reasearch papers that can be submitted in mileu of dissertation. what is the minimum study duration? does the limit of six months apply here? what is the sample size requirement? should i calculate it with the same problematic formula? and what about publication of these articles? please recommend some journals that can publish articles within 2-3 months.
