How will you measure insulin resistance?

Why not use pioglitazone when rosiglitazone is associated with increased cardiovascular risk?

Perhaps an easier topic will be to study the differential effect of metformin and pioglitazone on serum triglycerides (a more easily measurable outcome variable than insulin resistance) or some other lipid fraction. Just make sure to collect data on confounding variables so that you can adjust for them in your analysis.
