WoW! what a nonscientific column. There are several ways of looking at this. For those with little resources but good statistical background and knowledge of genetics, a good in silico modeling will suffice. For a better estimate, a well-conducted study will be good.
Anyway, there is no data, and I am repeating there is no data either through modeling alone or through well conducted studies, that proves the claims above.
A little bit of knowledge of Mendelian laws cannot compensate for all the subsequent advances in genetics.
