Sciatica frequently occurs when a nerve root is compressed in your lower (lumbar) spine — most often as a result of a herniated disk in the low back, along with amny other medical/surgical ill ness/trauma. sometimes resolves with out treatment.if persistant Treatment include a multi disciplinary approch.
Cold packs ,Hot packs, stretching exercises,physical therpies, rehabilitation programmes and analgesics like NSAIDS..and anti inflammatory drugs.more aggressive approach is epidural ateroid injections in conjunction with exercise progarmmes . or surgery in cases of disc prolapse
