well if you are so much interested in reseach work then you should try to visit CEMB, UHS and SBS, hope you will get some good place at thse places.

i have already tried SK they have limited number of seats which offcourse were filled and kemu basically allow their own grads

well there are many organization in which you can join for reseach work like
Shoukat Khanum Cancer Hospital and Reseach institute.
Agha Khan University, Karachi,
Kind Edward University Lahore,
UHS, Lahore,
these institutes have started reseach work in the areas you mentioned.
additionally there are other reseach organizations like
Center for excellence in Molecular Biology, CEMB, Lahore
School of Biological Sciences, Lahore
NIH Islambad and so on.

so you can visit these institute and before that you should plan what type of work you want to do.

regarding my basic area of interest, i would say oncology/cardiology/pulmonology/neurology as well as infectious diseases.

i have graduated from Allama Iqbal Medical College Lahore, completed my housejob and part 1 and step 1.
now currently im studying for step 2 and thereby came across this forum , using it to plead thus
