MOU SIGNED BY CPSP WITH NORTHERN LINCOLNSHIRE AND GOOLE HOSPITALS NHS FOUNDATION TRUST

The College of Physicians and Surgeons Pakistan and the Northern Lincolnshire and
Goole Hospital NHS Foundation Trust have entered into a MoU on 12th December 2009,
in matters relating to training and work experience of postgraduate doctors from Pakistan
in the United Kingdom (UK).
The scope of collaboration will eventually encompass all training specialties. However,
initially to establish the program, the parties will focus on the development of
opportunities for Medicine and Allied fields.
It will be in accordance with the principles embodied in the Medical Training Initiative
(MTI) for international medical graduates with facilities to include the option of CPSP’s
curriculum.
The program will begin at the earliest available opportunity in 2010 following
confirmation of support from the sponsoring bodies.
The applicants should hold an FCPS in any specialty of Medicine and allied.
The candidates selected will be exempt from PLAB and shall be paid equivalent to the
local (UK) doctors. Their visa shall also be arranged by the sponsors. However, the
College suggests that the applicants should clear IELTs in anticipation.
This shall be a great opportunity for the selected candidates to work and have postfellowship
training in the environment of United Kingdom.
