In a country with a large TV viewing population and an atomic bomb there should be no justification for that. I hope the government pays attention to this topic. It is not a luxury but plain necessity and will probably is cost effective educating/learning/training tool.

Telemedicine is still under infancy in Pakistan. Although one cannot deny the importance of telemedicine, but the present infrastructure of teaching hospitals of Pakistan is so immature that I personally dont think telemedicine would be a wise idea to start with. The things that are missing in our hospitals are HMIS, free telephone helplines and inter-departmental cooperations.
The people who are working on telemedicine, unfortunately are working to get more funds and fame.
