I do agree with your concern.Once we get a degree we take it as the end of the world.. we should have a 5 or 7 yearly re-evluation system both for the GPs as well as the specialist cadre.I think that this is the one of the ways that we can ensure that doctors keep themselves up to date.But let me tell you once somebody takes some solid steps in this regard he is going to face a lot of criticism from the doctors who locked away their books once they graduated from medical colleges or got their fellow ship degrees

I wonder when PMDC will think of certain way to ensure that doctors licensed to pratice Medicine in Pakistan keep themselves updated with advances in medical field.
In recently published study many doctors with valid PMDC licensure dont know the best first line drugs and diagnostic criteria for TB.
Isnt it almost criminal ??
