Young faculty members/doctors, researchers and senior students already working at the interface of nanoscience, nanomedicine or nanobiotechnology are eligible to apply for participation. The aspiring participants are required to have at least masters’ degree in physical/biological sciences or bachelor degree in medicine with one year of research experience. COMSTECH has notified universities and research institutes of OIC region to send maximum two nominations.

The workshop on “Bio-ethics education in Pakistan” is being organized in collaboration with Higher Education Commission of Pakistan and Center of Biomedical Ethics and Culture (CBEC) of Sindh Institute of Urology and Transplantation. Thematic Workshops in Frontier Technologies

Introduction: COMSTECH has initiated a 2 year Thematic workshops Program in Molecular Biology and Biotechnology. This program is jointly funded by Higher Education Commission (HEC) and COMSTECH.

Objectives: Thematic workshops in frontier technologies are being organized to find solutions/ develop strategies to solve specific problems of economic importance in OIC countries. The program will impact the ongoing programs in biotechnology in OIC member countries. This program focuses on arranging specific thematic symposia and workshops on the pattern of specialized symposia organized by Cold Spring Harbor Labs, New York, USA & ICGEB. The ultimate goal is to develop strategies to find solutions through the applications of frontier biotechnologies. These strategies will guide a prescribed agenda of research for various universities and research Institutes.
