Specialty Certificate Examinations - Open to all
10 June 2011

The entry requirements for many of the Specialty Certificate Examinations (SCEs) will be relaxed from 1 July 2011.

For the following SCEs it will no longer be a requirement for applicants to have sat and passed the MRCP(UK) Diploma. This is intended to make the exams more widely available internationally.

2011: Acute Medicine, Medical Oncology, Palliative Medicine
2012: Acute Medicine, Endocrinology and Diabetes, Gastroenterology, Infectious Diseases, Medical Oncology, Nephrology, Palliative Medicine, Respiratory Medicine and Rheumatology
For updates on the SCEs email your details (name and specialty) to sce.queries@mrcpuk.org

For further information go to your specialty page.

Exceptions: The MRCP(UK) Diploma will remain a pre-requisite for entry to the SCEs in Dermatology, Geriatric Medicine and Neurology.
