The BPPA Awards 2009

It is with great pleasure that The British Pakistani Psychiatrists Association invites the nominations for the BPPA Awards 2009. We wish to encourage all eligible psychiatrists to send their nominations.

New - The BPPA Award of Professional Excellence
This award has been established to recognise and honour the professional excellence of senior Pakistani Psychiatrists working in the UK & Republic of Ireland. The winners will be judged on their professional & academic achievements, contribution to Psychiatry in Pakistan and contribution and commitment to BPPA
The BPPA Young Researcher of the Year Award
The aim of this Award is to promote an interest in research amongst young Pakistani health professionals and to honour and recognize their research work that has been published in any peer reviewed scientific journal. There are two categories of this award, one for research carried out in the UK & Eire and the other for research carried out in Pakistan

The BPPA Public Education Award
The aim of this award is to promote an interest in ‘Public Education in Mental Health Issues’ amongst Pakistani media professionals, artists, health professionals and students.
The 2009 award will be based on a Public Education Video/DVD competition. The videos may be made in English or any of the Pakistani Languages with the aim of educating patients and/or carers on general mental health issues or a specific mental disorder.
The BPPA Clinical Audit Award
The aim of this award is to promote an interest in clinical audit amongst young Pakistani health professionals and students and to honour and recognize their clinical audit work. The Competition is not restricted to any sub-speciality and work carried out in any psychiatric field will be considered.
