Those symptoms are indeed estrogen related because once these patients are taken of the therapy, they improve within a week. It has something to do with the function of lachrimal glands.

HRT and dry eyes

Hormone replacement therapy has become a corner stone for the management of menopausal symptoms but is not without its own risks. Some of my patients have now complained of dry eyes. Any one has any comments on this and mechanism of action. Seems to be more prevelant in patients on Estrogen alone.
