I think that you are really lucky, there might be two things in that first of all that they (editors) might be a little efficient since u are from another country so try paint a nicer picture secondly they are not as dumb and brainless as we think they some of them might be reading all that junk that we write here, so they might have realised that their heroics have a realistic chance of getting revealed.

But as my boss says BETTER LUCKY THAN GOOD.

Good luck to you

Re: How can I submit a paper to pakistan journals in cardiology

Thank you,Dr.rqayyum AND Dr.ijazali.Fortunately I have recieve the response from the editor. They will review my paper at following days.In China,it usually takes 2-4 months for a journal editorial office to reply to authors whether their paper is accepted or not.We are all in a same boat. What editors should do?I think they should speed their work. What we should do?I think we should improve our paper level.
I hope we can become good friends.

but Dr Qayyum what should you do when journals donot even acknowledge the reciept of the article after many emails. I think if a journal doesnot send a formal Notification of recieving the article , there is no point in sending the withdrawl letter.

They are the UNTOUCHABLES.

Hopelessly hopeless

Dr. Xukai, have you heard anything from editors yet? When did you e-mail them?

Dr. Ijaz, I agree with you that if a journal is unable to inform authors about the progress on their submitted manuscript, authors have the right to submit their work to another journal. However, it is not right to do so without withdrawing manuscript from the previous journal. If authors want to submit their work to another journal, they should at least e-mail to the editors, and preferably write a formal letter, that they are withdrawing their manuscript. It will be even better if authors mention that they are withdrawing their manuscript due to the delay in processing of their manuscript. However, it is not ethical if authors submit their work to another journal without withdrawing it from the previous journal.

As I have suggested earlier, authors should not submit their work to a sloppy journal that does not process manuscripts quickly. If authors don't like a journal's publication policy, they should 'vote by their feet' and submit their manuscripts to another journal.

I have one suggestion; it will be helpful for others if, those of you who have submitted manuscripts to Pakistani journals, can give timeline on this forum from submission, to acknowledgement, to decision for review/rejection/acceptance, to publication for that particular journal. This might help other researchers to submit manuscripts to those journals that can decide/publish within a reasonable time period.
