hi,
i have done my FCPS-1 in gynae/obs but want to switch my feild to basic sciences, can i get FCPS-2 training on basis of this part one or i wud have to do FCPS-1 in any of basic science?

I would suggest that you contact CPSP Karachi office directly..My wife has just finished her training in Basic Medical Sciences (FCPS) .... i would recommend that you go for MPhil and Phd in BMS because it is widely accepted all over the world, carries more weight and in all cases you get some honorarium and scholarship....
FCPS is primarily a Pakistani degree with no recognition in the West

I think you should ask HEC in Islamabad...But in all honesty i do not think that universities like Gomal and Lesbela stand any where in the world

Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: basic sciencesactually when we say that our degree is "accepted", it means that it is considered for further study. our MS, MD, M.Phil, PhD and FCPS are not "equivalent" to American Board or american university degrees. FCPS has the advantage that it is accepted for MRCP Part 2.
