articles from foriegn journals
dear forum
WHO and other such organizations have launched new initiatives to facilitate research for low income countries like Pakistan e.g. HINARI and PERI. can we as a forum ask somebody higher-up to entitle pakistan too in these inititatives.
can anybody guide me how to get articles from online databases like PROQUEST or OVID to facilitate my research in anatomy.
is there any library in Pakistan that has subscription for such libraries. of course i would like to get the articles free or atleast in Pakistani rupee rate.
yours

I think Comstech or PISTAC has the access to above mentioned databases. You can contact Comstech at www.comstech.edu.pk

articles from foriegn journals
I have learned that Higer Education Commission will shortly be hosting about 5000 journals online. This will include journals of all science subjects including Medical Sciences. Full texts will also be available. The facility is expected some time early next year.

Re: articles from foriegn journals
that would be excellent. But, if anybody needs full article now, what should He/she do.
Currently, Aga Khan university has subscribed more than 100 biomedical journals and from there full text articles can be obtained.

One way, though not the best is put your key words/titles directly for internet search. Some articles with and/or without full text are available on the net. You do not have to go through medline or other search databases.
Another possibility is to search through libraries of major universities. Some journals may be available free of charge. Good luck.

I read Regional Focal point Libraries exist by the support of WHO. They can be asked for free full text article.
I am also a Master student writing a thesis in Physiology. I am also facing this problem. Most of the articles are from internet search.
