Re: Re: INFORMATION FOR UNDERGRADUATES
while i respect your dad's opinion, i would still suggest that you should focus on becoming a good doctor first, learn some good communications skills and medical ethics ( These are very rare nowadays) and do an excellent house Job ( in a reputable unit) ....
By the time you are done with your house Job you will be very clear in mind as to peruse, medical, surgical or basic Medical sciences disciplines
Best wishes and prayers for your bright future
Regards

Re: INFORMATION FOR UNDERGRADUATESDear Eajaz, nice to know abt your future intentions, to be a specialist in the field of surgery and allied; 1) you need to be an MBBS,2) 1year house job (preferable 6months surgery, 6months medicine,3) Then FCPS Part1 in surgery and allied.4) After FCPS I (which means Fellow of college of physician and surgeons Pakistan) you undergo a 3-4 yrs training in a recognised hospital, 5) after training/residency you appear fro FCPS II and and if lucky enough you will be a specialist. thats it... so simple ,no big deal

Re: Re: INFORMATION FOR UNDERGRADUATES
Wah sir Gill Wah....
Kitna simple kar diya aap naay...I liked it..
In any case i agree with you...Becoming a doctor and even doing FCPS, FRCP, FRCS and other degrees is really not difficult in present times , if one is hardworking and determined...
The only difficult part is to become a Humane doctor with values, ethics and a caring attitude for the patients and respect for your colleagues...this is one things that no degree can teach you
