what are giving to New Doctors?
This new doctor Scnadal from Mayo hospital is an another shameful deed in the account of Doctors. there is infact a lack of apptitude building approach since the time we start the medical college and even after let me tell u my experience.
Medical College enterants in Pakistan face few challanges first of all they come from so diverse backgrounds and classes (due to the so called class discriminated culture in Pakistan). Than most of them come from a pure male or pure female edu. institutions and ppl are more focussed on Hormones than studies. Which obviously id Physiological but at this critical juncture when you have to concentrate on the studies removes them from there goal. This is definitely a dillema in our hypocrite culture. Secondly few ppl try to distinguish themselves thru their monetary or influentials strenghths like sons and daughters of the corrupt beaurocrats (the vultures of the society), Professors (Leeches) and ppl whose parents or relatives have political influences. Then come the ppl who donot have anything then they start participation in these Gunda Badmash Student Union and become the Jagga of the college and ppl try to built relations with them posing to ppl that they are really well connected and dangerous.
when i was in medical college there was a Gunda who was like a Swine Faced Creature , he was a Rapist, Murderer and a criminal but he was given huge respect because of our Chamca culture. The Principal of the Med College who was a Third degree Politician and later also become the president of PMDC use to use him as a Kabza Group Front man for his dirt purposes and he had the backing of the right people. The next principal who tool over was the most coward person in the world and this gunda was more than the principal , the principal used to get pale on hearing the name of this badmash. this gunda and his companions would use the hostets as base camps for all their activities.
Than some how the collge graduated that Gunda and guess what , this Criminal contested the Election and is now the Member Provincial assembly in one of the Provinces and write Dr in front of his name proudly. What do you expect from a country like that............Does anyboy think that there is any hope if we donot do some extremly hard decisions.

Dr Qayyum actually the problem is not one person but the mentality which needs to be changed. This Guy might be a Psychopath but actually if you see the current breed of Medical college grads there hearts are devoid of any compassion and educational goals. We should be role models in this corrupt society rather than Rapists and Money launderers.
The Vultures teaching in the medical colleges should take notice of these inhuman trends but unfortunately i am sure they must be gossiping with their 60 yrs old collegues (wishfully)what that Thug (Mayo hospital doctor) has done and dreaming about what had actually happened.

If that is true, then majority of the graduates coming out of these medical colleges are also incompetent. Under such cicumstances, what do you expect? But the bigger question here is: Why does Pakistan need so many medical colleges, if the facilities for teaching are sub-standard? May be all of you should get real because the facilities here in the US are well equipped and yet majority of the doctors are incompetent. All that glitters is not gold. If I needed any type of surgery, I would trust an FCPS better than an FRCS or an FACS.

MR.Ijaz the problem with u is that ur a pessimist(wont even call u hopeless), y do u always have to ignore the fact that Pakistan is a devleoping country n a develpoing country has its flaws, if removed y wld b called a developing one? in reality thrz no place in ther world clear of corruption
u talk of d the medical field, US-nowadays the boss of the world, had a president Kennedy, i m sure u'l b knwing abt him. he had Addisons n he joined navy n then he was became president!!!!!!!!!all bcoz of his background! u still think its hard to b director of PMDC
?
did u ever think wat YOU gave to a single new doctor, its easy to sit in a chair n say "everythng's bad, hopeless,etc etc"
but hard even to help a single human

Ok i am a Passimistic but what does such a personal comment of yours on somebody shows that you are a great person!
I didnot understand anything from your posting secondly what is the relevance of talking abt kennedy here. We have more than enough problems to settle before we start thinking of other things.
Just come into the Practical world and start seeing this world closely.

Ijaz I agree with you. donot get disappointed by this critisism i am sure that you have a live ZAMEER thats why you spend your time fighting for these helpless people.
The people living in this corrupt society and its beneficieries always will have lot of TAKLEEF when somebody will try to touch thier tender points.

Here in New York, several of them are driving taxi cabs or pumping gas at various locations. Will they do this in their own country? The answer is always 'NO'. What a disgrace?

Where in the post did i try or POSE to be a great human being!!!talking of being practical , OK.......i agree i m not doing anythgn 'at the moment',(by the way i would love to have advice wat can i do,beng a med tudent to get aleast smthgin in order in Pakistan), what are you doing fr making things better? and this is not pinpointing (incase u take it) i am asking a question!!.....
Mustapha Sahib i didnt criticise ijaz but i want him to face reality,Pakistan is full of corruption, accpet it!corruption brings tens of thousands of problems,accept those too!wats the solution?i agree we cant solve it but atleast wat v can do is contribute our level best, no problem it doesnt change the society......... wat i tried to say in the previous thread(wch u guys claerly didnt get at all) was that if ur mom or dad r bad u wont go telling others "yaar mere maan baap mein yeh kharabi hai woh kharabi hai"
i may sound a bit idealistic here but the point is u have to belive WE CAN, no body gets practical in doing some good here...the name of the thread is"wat are v giving to new new doctors" u r doctor urself of the new age, help as many new docs u can in ur own capacity , thats wat you give to new doctors
we are pessimists as a whole nation, thinking"kuch nahy ho sakta!!!" without even trying to do anythng
but i m not coz i bleieve in Allah and my own effort,i belive in Allah's insaaf( u wld say mein ne abhi dunya nahy dekhy, abhy i m a kid etc etc, but the point is discrmination even starts at the college admission level n i have had my share of discrimination too but i still am optimistic)
topics like this r frustrations of the society y not use ur anguish in a better way
if u think i m idealistic,so be it,but i do accept the society with its faults.

kennedey's point was to show corruption in a developed country!!!wch u didnt get
