Pathology...Robbins/BRS
Pharma......Lippincotts
Embryo......Langmann's
Micro.......Jawetz Summaries
Ocular Physiology....Frank Nevel/John Ferris
Handbook of DD ......Azeem Sheikh
MCQs from Azeem Sheikh and Q book.
practice MCQs very well.

Re: Re: Re: Books for fcps ophthalmologyThe books mentioned are fine,but you can just read John Ferris,it will cover your pharmacology,embryology,microbiology,ocular physiology and most of anatomy and neuro although you must read as much as you can snell's anatomy of Eye.John Ferris is an Excellent book and is one of the main book that candidates use for the preparation of Mrcophth/frcopth part 1 and also visit Chua Eye page website www.mrcophth.com/chua1.htmljust do mcqs from there,i can assure you,you will pass very easily(insha Allah) as i have seen so many people pass with it,even myself.

AOA,regarding
1)physiology;
general physio-just go thru BRS physio+ MCQS
ocular physio-john ferris ocular physio section,Forrester- whole chapter
(2)Pathology;
general-BRS Patho+MCQS
ocular pathology-Apple and Rab, go thru all mcqs at the end(anything u dont understand,just read the text from Chapter)
(3)Pharmacology
MCQS related to ocular pharma come in exam
which can be done from John Ferris and Forrester(whole chapter on Pharma)
I also kept Review of Katzung with me and used for reference,and also some Mech of Action
Lastly keep the book First aid to USMLE
(if u cant go thru BRS series) just go thru the relevant areas ie general physio,general patho from that,it has excellent pnemonics and helps to retain for long.
