PakMediNet Discussion Forum : Medical Education inside Pakistan : Medical Universities
Medical Universities
Dear Medical Professionals,
In recent years there is more emphasis on establishing new 'medical universities'in the country than improving the quality of medical teaching and training in the already existing medical schools - once the places of excellent learning and best medical traditions. The latest addition to the list is the medical university in NWFP.
My very very humble submission to the medical professionals in general and the medical academicians in particular is to devote themselves to teaching and training of their pupils and improve the quality of medical education by indulging more and more in teaching and research than wasting time in other areas.
CPSP and other Universities in the country are already involved in doing excellent job of evaluation and examinations.
Through this FORUM I will also request to Honourable Professor Atta-ur- Rehman, Minister of higher education and Professor M Sultan Farooqui, Presodent CPSP to look into the matter of medical education.
Thank you all
A Medical Professional
