Cirrhosis and Portal Hypertension

I am doing research in the area of gastroenterology with major emphasis on the Cirrhosis and portal hypertension. I am working on Human hepatic stellate cells previously named as fat storage cells or Ito cells. There are several proposed mechanisms/pathophysiological processes involved but exact signaling pathway is not known yet. Is anybody expertise in this field let me know the proposed research proposal in this field.
