Call for papers for “The 13th RAZI Medical Sciences Research Festival” in Islamic republic of Iran

Introduction
Medical Sciences Research Center of the Islamic Republic of Iran announces “The 13th RAZI Medical Sciences Research Festival” to be held in Tehran, I.R. Iran, in December 2007. The representatives of fifty countries from the Islamic Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization –ISESCO, along with a number of international experts are expected to take part in this event. The main objective of the Festival is to bring the international and national investigators together, in medical sciences, to present the latest, most prominent and outstanding result of research, in order to enhance and promote research in this field.
This festival will include basic sciences, health sciences, surgical and non-surgical medical sciences, pharmacology, nutrition, dentistry, rehabilitation, modern technology and health sector reform.

Eligibality Criteria

The eligible candidates will be mainly within two categories:
National:
1- Researchers
2- Junior researchers (non student under 30 years old)
3- Student researchers in all aspects of medical sciences
4- Investigators on the subject of Health Sector Reform
5- Innovators, inventers and creators of medical hypothesis and ideas
6- Universities of Medical Sciences
7- Approved Medical Sciences research Centers
8- Student Medical Sciences Research committee
9- NGO companies, charities and scientific societies that support medical science researches
10- Approved scientific research journals
International:
1- Foreign resident Iranian researchers
2- Researchers of Islamic Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization –ISESCO member countries
Prize recipients are selected on the basis of two principal criteria, equally scored:
1. Nobility of the article;
2. Mastery of the candidates.

Applicants should specifically address how their work meets the following criteria:

Judging criteria for article:
1. Priority;
2. Innovation;
3. Applicability;
4. Scientific Methodology;
5. Nature of Outputs (e.g. scientific papers in quality journals);
6. Voluminous work;
7. Participatory work;
8. Potential Impact.
Research criteria:
i. Brief biography including major scientific/ technical accomplishments, published articles in quality journals indexed by Medical Journals Databases
ii. Significant publications (books)
iii. Sustained leadership contributions in improving healthcare, technology customizing, and patient care; or who have successfully pursued innovative improvement in public health with demonstrated translational benefits applied to improved public quality of life.
