Cysticercosis of the tongue - a diagnostic dilemma.
Pak J Otolaryngol Jan ;21(3):64-5.

Cysticercosis is a common problem in eastern Nepal which is caused by a parasite pork tape worm. We present a case of 3 yrs old girl having swelling over lateral margin of posterior one third of tongue. Findings often misdiagnosed as a case of mucous retention cyst. FNAC is a well accepted diagnostic procedure in detection of parasitic lesions. Anticysticercal drugs like Albendazole for one week is drug of choice for its treatment.
