Cesarean Section Rate - A Comparative Study Between 1991 and 1997.
Ann King Edward Med Uni Jan ;7(1):35-7.

The rate for delivery by caesarian section has increased dramatically during last 20 years in the developed countries. This retrospective study comparing statistics of 1991 and 1997 shows an increase in caesarian section rate during these 6 years, attributed mostly to an increase in repeat sections and fetal distress. The rate can be lowered by careful evaluation and assessment before embarking upon the decision for caesarian section.
