OBJECTIVE: We report an unusual case of a 32 year old male who presented to us with a mass on left side of neck of several years` duration. The history and examination were suggestive of a laryngeal diverticulum. A CT-scan of the neck revealed it to be a phlebectasia of the external jugular vein. It Was surgically excised and the patient is well 9 months post-operatively.
