The carcinoma of Gall Bladder in Males - Is it different than in Females?.
Pak Armed Forces Med J Jan ;47(1):29-33.

In this retrospective, study, 45 consecutive cases of the carcinoma of the gall bladder in males were compared with females. The majority of patients presented with the symptoms of chronic cholecystitis or cholilithiasis. The ages of the patients varied from 29 years to 90 years (average 55.1 years). The peak incidence was in sixth decade, which is a decade later than in females in the same age group. The histological pattern was different from females. A significant number of cases (17.5%) were of undifferentiated type. This could be the reason for more aggressive behavior and liver involvement seen in most of these patients at the time of detection. In the cases of undifferentiated carcinoma, the gall stones were found only in one gall bladder. It appeared that some cases of undifferentiated carcinoma of the gall gladder in males were different than what was seen in females. They seemed to be more aggressive and not necessarily accompanied by gall stones.
