CASE REPORT: A man aged 40 complained of spacing of both upper and lower anterior teeth. Having discussed the advantages and disadvantages of orthodontics and composite, the patient was keen on composite as it was a non-invasive treatment modality involving only two visits at a cost much lower than conventional orthodontic treatment. He was informed of the likelihood of composite staining over time with heavy tea/coffee/tobacco consumption, and the risk of dislodgement/fracture which may occur with poor bonding.
