Recession of Levator in the Management of Retracted Upper Lid.
J Coll Physicians Surg Pak Jan ;10(12):451-3.

Five patients having unilateral upper lid retraction ( 2 to 4 mm ) without skin or conjunctival shortening were operated upon. These patients had different causes of eye lid retraction. Transconjunctival recession of Muller and levator was done in all of them. A follow-up of five months to one year average being eight and half months showed excellent results. There was no recurrence. None of the patient had any complication. It was concluded that recession of retractors of upper lid is a safe and easy procedure to correct a retracted upper lid up to 3 mm in selected cases.
