Pulmonary alveolar microlithiasis in an 8 year old boy - a case report.
Pak Paed J Jan ;34(3):158-9.

Pulmonary Alveolar Microlithiasis (PAM) is a rare disease of unknown etiology characterized by formation of lamellar concretions of calcium phosphate or microliths within the alveoli. Approximately 400 cases of this unusual disorder have been reported1,2. The condition was first described in1856 by Friederich as “Corpora-Amylacea in den lugen”, used as microlithiasis alveolaris pulmonum. Familial incidence has been reported in several instances. We report here a case because of its rarity3
