Stroma ovari Presenting as Thyrotoxicosis.

A thirty-nine years old P6+1 was referred to Gynaecological Out-patient Department with complain of pain lower abdomen and scanty menses. She was a known case of thyrotoxicosis for past 12 years and was on anti-thyroid drugs. Bimanual examination revealed left adonexal mass. Ultrasound characteristics were suggestive of Ovarian Neoplasm. She underwent Exploratory laparotomy. The mass was having typical gross features of malignancy. So total abdominal hysterectomy and bilateral salpingo-oophorectomy and amentectomy was done Intraoperatively. there was no thyroid crisis. Histopathology revealed stroma ovari. In immediate post operative period. she was symptoms free but later on developed symptoms of hypothyroidism, so she was put on thyroxine.
