Feeding the preterm infant: how to translate science into practice.
Pak Paed J Jan ;37(2):130-2.

Prematurity should be considered as an utritional emergency. Optimizing nutritional support in preterm infants improve spostnatal growth and may reduce adverse outcomes. Feeding the preterm infants has always been described challenging dueto their immaturity and to therelated postnatal diseases. Although significant efforts have been made to improve nutritional support in these infants, most of them still do not receive adequate nutritional intakes and develop severe postnatal growth restriction, particularly very low birth weight infants.
