Squamous Cell Carcinoma of the lower lip with Verrucoid features.

A sixty year old lady was referred from the dermatology clinic with a verrucous lesion of the lower lip present since three months. No lymph nodes were palpable. A wedge excision with a 3-4 mm margin was done and the defect closed directly. Histology proved it to be a squamous cell carcinoma.

Case Report: A 60 year old lady was seen in the outpatient clinic with a verrucous lesion of the lower lip present since 3 months. There was no history of tobacco chewing or smoking. There was no bleeding from the lesion. Lymph nodes were not palpable. Past and family history was insignificant. A wedge excision with a 3-4 mm margin was done and the defect closed directly. Histology confirmed the diagnosis of squamous cell carcinoma.
