Laparoscopic cholecystectomy is comonest laparoscopic surgery performed these days and is in practice at almost every surgical centre. Identifi cation of anatomical variations during cholecystectomy is of utmost importance to prevent dangerous intraoperative vascular or biliary injuries. We report a case of variant right hepatic artery creating a Moynihan’s hump in Calot’s triangle which was successfully identifi ed and secured during operation.
