Phacoemulsification: A few comparisons.
Pak J Ophthalmol Jan ;15(3):98-101.

The patients undergoing phacoemulsification and 10L implant were studied from three different aspects. The preoperative keratometry readings of these patients were compared with postoperative keratometry readings at 8 weeks. Surgically induced astigmatism was calculated and patients with a stitch were compared with patients without a stitch. Cases where intracameral miochol was used to constrict the pupil at the end of surgery were compared for anterior chamber activity, monitored by using slit-lamp, with patients without miochol injection. Patients undergoing either phacoemulsification or conventional extracapsular cataract extraction (ECCE) with posterior chamber lens Implant were followed-up for Incidence of clinical cystold macular edema (CME).
