Seasonal Trends in the Occurrence of Eclampsia.
Ann King Edward Med Uni Jan ;5(3,4):213-4.

The occurrence of eclampsia may be related to the seasonal changes. A prospective study of the distribution of the cases of eclampsia was performed from January 1998 to September 1999 at Lady Willingdon Hospital, Lahore. A total of 15,454 maternities took place during this period and 208 consecutive cases of eclampsia were recorded. Humid summer period (July, August and September) seems to influence the incidence of eclampsia as maximum number of cases were recorded during this period and relatively less number of cases were seen in the spring season (March and April).
