Pattern of Cervical Lymphadenopathy in Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, Lahore.

Eighty males and females patients presented to the department of surgery with cervical lymphadenopathy over a period of 12 months. Usually the history is long. 90% involved were affected with one node group, the commonest being the jugular chain. Tuberculous adenitis, cold abscess and sinus formation constituted the biggest group i.e., about 60%. Reactive hyperplasia was about 20%. Non-specific lymphadenitis was 15%. Metastatic group constituted 2.5% and neoplastic was 2.5%.
