Biomedica Jan ;19:23-5.

The endoscopic hemorrhoid band ligation is described. A suction six shooter kit is used. The endoscope is attached to plastic cone mounted with Latex bands is introduced into Rectum & is retroflexed to 180 degree to view the hemorrhoids. The hemorrhoid tissue is sucked into plastic cone & rubber bands are released by operating a wheel from outside. The described method greatly increases the accuracy & safety of Rubber Band Ligation for hemorrhoids, as this procedure was carried out under endoscopic visual control. In our department 35 patients had undergone this procedure with no major complication. This technique was highly appreciated by the patients & their families.
