Plasma Cell Leukemia Presenting with Gastrointestinal Manifestations.

A 58 year female, presented with one month history of loose motions, vomiting and bleeding per rectum. She also gave a history of redness of eyes. On examination, she was pale with no visceromegaly or lymphadenopathy. In blood CP, the differential leukocyte count showed numerous Plasma Cells. Bone marrow aspiration revealed infiltration by plasma cells, around 80%. Serum protein electrophoresis showed M-band in gamma globulin region. Serum immunoelectrophoresis showed increase in monoclonal paraproteins. On the basis of findings, a diagnosis of plasma cell leukemia was made.
